What to Expect at My Botox Appointment

After a thorough consultation and exam, your skin will be numbed with a special topical numbing cream and then cleansed with alcohol.  A series of Botox injection will be precisely applied using a very fine needle.   The duration of treatment is typically a mere few minutes depending on the number of areas to treat.  Afterward, small areas of redness and swelling may be present for up to 30-40 minutes.

Botox may take 2 days to start working with the best muscle relaxation noted at approximately 2 weeks.  The effects last upwards of 3 months, with most patients repeating their next treatment between 3 - 4 months.
